The characters serve as role models for Black and brown kids to inspire greatness and their unlimited future. The series introduces kids of color to subjects and opportunities they may not be exposed to in their daily environment.

The main characters are Afro-Latin, but the content and situations suit diverse audiences and help build a more inclusive environment.
The primary themes are doing good in school, being a good person, and doing the right thing, which are universal and help build strong character in kids regardless of their race or ethnicity.
The kids attend The Academy of Achievement & Excellence, where all kids Dream Big and Aim High. The situations, content, and activities the kids encounter reinforce AWESOMENESS because Black and brown kids need to own and be confident in their AWESOMENESS.

SHIRLEY
Hello, I’m Shirley and I love science. That’s why I’ve been nicknamed STEM Shirley. Science and engineering are my favorite subjects because I find them fascinating. I spend most of my time in the lab, but when I’m not there, I’m just an ordinary kid doing my best to be a good person. I’m excited about the opportunity to explore the wonderful world of STEM on this adventure.
LANCE
Greetings. My name is Lance, and ever since I was young, I have been an organizer, which is how I got the nickname “Leadership Lance.” I enjoy helping my friends succeed and volunteering in the community to make the world a better place for all. Additionally, I love sports; it not only teaches leadership but also the importance of being a team player. I am eager to share what I have learned about being a good person and a leader on this adventure.
